About The Anti-ButtcrackSmileytism on DU

it is apparent that there is a growing problem with Anti-ButtcrackSmileytism here and its getting a little disturbing. I have alerted the mods and the admins and they agree that it is more than a little out of control.

See for years ButtcrackSmiley Asses have been put down and denigrated. I know i know, most of you have never been affected but we are out here and we still bear the scars of the past. You might think its funny to post 'news' stories that put ButtcrackSmiley's down but some of us are not laughing. You might think its innocent but THIS ButtcrackSmiley will not stand for it any longer.

Skinner has informed me that he doesn't really feel that a hard, fast new rule should be put into place since some of the 'members' here might see it as a form of censorship. I can understand that. So, from now on, I will alert the mods when I see blatant anti-ButtcrackSmileytism here. After alerting the mods, I will send an irreversible virus to the perpetrator's computer which will infect the hard drive with millions of images of lesbian porn, after which I will notify General Ashcroft for prosecution.

these animations of an armless happyface with legs, endlessly climing up and down a lime green structure are having a very negative effect on the average teenaged surfer. considered harmless by many, these little icons are a glaring examples of wasted and misdirected energy, and the teens have taken to attaching these things to all their emails and format posts, clogging up the already overtaxed bandwidth system.

and i'm tired of being trashed for merely inferring any negative connotation to these seemingly harmless animation gifs. i will not accept the label of 'anti-buttcracksmiley-ism'.

i believe we both know where the other stands on this important issue, and we can agree on common ground, or we can take this fight all the way to it's gruesome conclusion.
