MrsGrumpy's semi anuual "I am only 33 thread".
I figured I would do this before 34 in June. Yes, I picked an old sounding username (there's nothing I can do about that now). Yes, I am boring, middle of the road, housewifishey. But, I certify that I was born in the opening year of the decade known as the 70's. I ratted my hair in high school, and thought George Michael was hot. I had an easybake oven and a Malibu Barbie. The spread on my bed was Holly Hobbie.

You must trust me on this....no matter what ZombyWoof might tell you. ;)

The real MrsGrumpy:

That is all....

I never thought you were old
You talk about having a teen-ish age daughter. I figured you were in your 30s.

I have an old sounding name too, and I will be 40 this year. My username is in homage to my cat Millie.

6. Funny how you don't think about it when you pick the name, eh?
It will be amazing if I survive my daughter's teenage years. I try to keep a mental image of her toddler sweetness at all times when dealing with her. :hi:

3. don't sweat it Mrs. G, 33 is as great age
And you both look great and constantly demonstrate a keen intellect. How can anyone not love that?

Hey, BigMcLargehuge is only 34 (35 in July), but I try and embrace every new year of life. I still feel like I am 17 most of the time.

:)

11. book coming along slowly
been busy with actual work (and a smattering of procrastination) but I am clearing about 2000 words a week, which is the low end of my average.

Here's a recent shot of me (and my muse) in mid creative flow.

Miss modding with you too.

14. He wants to write my intro, believe me
Edited on Thu Apr-15-04 09:48 AM by BigMcLargehuge
but most of his work looks like something E.E. Cummings would write while on an LSD bender.

He gives me more than introductory text, he gives me inspiration, so it balances out :)

Here he is working on his "draft". It's always good to have a non-functional word processor around for the kids :)

4. I had a Holly Hobbie lunchbox!
I remember my 4th-grade teacher: "I don't like men with two earrings." (When we asked if she liked George Michael.)

Now take your baseball, and get out of my yard!

*he steps back down on his porch, adjust his suspenders and 'wife beater' undershirt, and sits back down on the porch glider. Drinks his geritol-spiked tea, and thinks wistfully back on his near 42 years on the planet*

of the head - and in the beard, for that matter. Someday, kmla, you'll get some real years on ya. Then, both you & MrsGrumpy will come to the realization that, dadgum it!, there's nothing at all wrong with having some years under yer belt! or under yer hat! or under the bridge! anyway, whippersnappers, I have less than two years till one of those birthdays that are divisible by 10. with no remainder. and dividing by 10 does not give you a 5.

He worked for ABC warehouse and was always bringing that kind of stuff over. Brett used to live under my bed, until MrG threw him away. :(

25. Oh God!
To be 33 again.

I was having a lovely chat in a chat room with someone last night (who shall remain nameless, but if she sees this thread, she will know who she is ), who made me feel so old, because how she said her mum is close to my own age, yet there is 11 years difference between us.:cry::cry::cry::cry::cry:

Oh God! I feel old!!!!!!!

Mrs G, trust me, 34 is a good age to be, and you really don't look like you are in your 30's at all. I would have guessed somewhere around 27/28/29 the latest.
