1. 1965 was a good year.

those are some tough choices. I pickd JB "Papa's Got a Brand New Bag," but on a different day I easily could have picked Wilson Pickett or "I Feel Good." The others on the list are strong choices as well.

The Memphis sound had was grittier the Motown stuff; nice counterpoint.

He was the sax player for the session, but the singer never showed up. Did a hell of a job as a last-minute replacement, I must say.
