Owner Of Dog (Gizmo) Kicked Like Football FURIOUS Over Web Site

A Web site named for a football phrase is purporting to raise money on behalf of Gizmo, a 2-pound Yorkshire terrier reportedly kicked through the air much like a football and killed.

The site is a sick joke, the dead dog's owner said yesterday. The site yesterday included links to newspaper articles on Gizmo's death and provided a way for visitors to make $50 or $25 credit card donations. Jelani Lewis, 29, who owned the dog along with his fiancée, said he has nothing to do with the site.

''Whoever put this together — these people are just as evil as the individuals who killed Gizmo,'' Lewis said. ''This is crazy. They're trying to collect money from somebody's tragedy.''

The Web site has the name ''It's Up and It's Good LLC,'' copying a phrase used when football players kick field goals to score points during a game.

It's not funny. It would be tragic for any animal but, I'm really upset because Yorkies are my favorite canine. I've had 2 that have gone to Rainbow Bridge and we have a 3 year old now. Max is one of the loves of my life. :cry:
