Who is your favorite second generation singer/musician?
Edited on Thu Apr-15-04 12:36 PM by Norbert
I guess it is wide open: Natalie Cole, Jeff Buckley, Nancy Sinatra, Jacob Dylan, Julian Lennon, Lisa Marie Presley (okay maybe that one is a stretch). Whoever you can think of.

I actually like Jake Dylan myself but I know that are some out there I heven't thought of.

2. Good choice...

for me it is probably either Ivan Neville or A.J. Croce. Ivan is quickly becoming as good as his dad on the Hammond B. I saw him play a few months ago and he is pumping out some serious funk these days.

The first time I heard A.J. Croce, I thought it was his Dad. The voices are almost identical. A.J. just happens to be a damn good painist to boot.

His dad, Ross McManus was a professional singer, with the Joe Loss Orchestra from 1955 to 1969. Continued with solo career. Had hit single with 'Patsy Girl' in Germany in 1969, released LP 'Day Costello Sings Elvis Presley's Greatest Hits'

Her dad, John Raitt was a great singer on Broadway. How could I have missed it?

I completely forgot about Elvis Costello and his musical father.
Arlo Guthrie another excellent musician.

I can't forget about her. She is the proud daughter of fifties folk singer Terry Gilkyson. Remember (All day all night) "Marianne"?

10. I'll go with Jakob Dylan
I'm a big Wallflowers fan. Someone who gets overlooked a lot is Shana Morrison. Sometimes Lisa Marie's voice gives me delight because on her voice reminding me of Elvis's voice. Lisa's album isn't bad, but I expected better.

It's possible I'm missing someone.
