This'll explain it all for you

"During the Noachian flood, the percent of earth's surface covered in water increased dramatically. This caused a global temperature reduction resulting in the formation of vast glaciers now known as ice ages. It is likely there were no polar ice caps prior to the flood, instead glacial development was probably at its historic maximum just as the ark was coming to rest."

Ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! These cats sure pack a lot of geologic change into the 6000 years since creation. Anybody want to calculate how fast those glaciers would have had to be moving for any of this to check out?

I'm sure some more dedicated scholar than myself will read up on Uniformitarian Long-Age Dogmas for us. :P

Edit: Their graphic appears to go back to 18,000 years ago. Bishop Ussher is going to be pissed!

3. Continental Drift is Pretty Tough for a Creationist
They probably think most of it happened very quickly and then, for some unexplained reason, slowed down to a crawl. That's usually the methodology.

It's a lot like the speed of light and the size of the universe. Not all creationists believe the earth was created 6,000 years ago, but there's really no way to get around the fact that the universe it billions of years old.

2. I Have a Perverse Admiration for This Stuff
As scientific theories, they're completely ludicrous. But it's interesting to see these efforts in the face of overwhelming evidence to the contrary. At least these people see that in order to claim any kind of scientific legitimacy, they need to actually make deal with some field observations and hard data.

The effect, of course, is that anyone alread predisposed to creationism encounters sees a graph like this:

and thinks "ooh, there are smart people who agree with me. They must be right." And never give it a second thought.
