8. Putting Desert Storm veteran status to good use down at the
freeway off-ramp
9. Pursuing our dream of becoming a writer, realizing we’re no John
Steinbeck, or even John Saul for that matter
10. Editing our manifestos
11. Learning Chinese so you can go get our jobs back

Speaking of which, I need to post an article to my web site. It's going to be about the Bush press conference. It fascinates me that the response has been so different between liberals and conservatives.

Since I lost my job I've been pursuing my dream of being a writer. I write op-ed pieces, some of which have been posted here at DU, but I tend to write one every day and send it out to as many sites as I can. I also take care of some of the household chores, such as cooking and cleaning. And, I've been looking for work back in high tech, but that door was shut here in Oregon a year ago and the pickings are slim.
