For example, would you kill Hitler before he was born?

1. That's trouble-making -- trying to avert fate, destiny, whatever....
BUT, if I could go back, I would have initiated a REVOLUTION in re to the Fla voting debacle in 2000. The 9 million person march ON FLORIDA!

3. I'd make myself rich... I wouldn't mess with anything before I was born...
I wouldn't want to accidentally erase myself from existence.

5. i wouldn't on a large scale...
but i would do it to change my course of history. id like to go find my former self and warn me of the impending mistakes i had made and then talk to the former me and tell me what to do, fix some things i should have/should not have done there are a few times when i really blew it and they were so easily avoidable... I'm kicking myself now for personal mistakes, so... i wouldn't do anything earthshaking, but... ya know.. id take advantage of the situation.

6. Too risky
Who's to say Nazism wouldn't have emerged anyway, but with a slightly less fumbling dictator?

I'd pick something more recent -- maybe go into one of THOSE airports in 9/11/2001 and shoot some selected people in the head. Then shout "THERE ARE OTHER TERRORISTS AT XXX AIRPORT TOO" before I get caught by the police.

7. No more Prescott Bush!
for one thing, that would have helped the Allied war effort in WWII (since he wouldn't have been feeding money into the Nazi coffers), it would have kept the CIA from becoming so secretive and insular under Bush the elder, no Gulf War I, no Shrub, and no Iraq war.

"I've got a little list...they never would be missed..."

8. Well you've just eliminated a crucial vote for the New Deal
Even though he was part of the group which wanted to impeach FDR (look it up) he voted FOR the New Deal package as Senator.

Strange - but intent can never be surmised as an observer...

9. Sure why not,
I could go back Ancient Greece and Jump start the industrial revolution fifteen hundred years ahead of time and set myself up as the god head of my own empire.

10. I'd bet every penny on the Buster Douglas upset.
Also on the Reds sweeping the A's in 1990.

No way in hell would I go back before my birth.

11. I'd bring Billy the Kid and Gengis Khan to the San Dimas mall.

Okay, maybe not.

But whatever I did, it would be after I was born. That way I couldn't screw myself unexpectedly. For example, suppose I killed Hitler before he came to power, preventing WWII. Well, my parents were Boomers, so one of them might not be born in that case.

So something current, where I'm pretty much already here. Somehow stoppping 9/11, or *'s pResidency would be worth a thought.
I guess getting Steve Bartman's tickets and keeping him from entering Wrigley Field would be good if I didn't want to drastically alter history.

17. yes I think I would
there are too many options to pick one at the moment. I'll have too give it some thought. I guess I'd try to pinpoint pivotal moments in history that could've made our present time more life giving. I think it's a bit more complicated that GW and Hitler.
