Any of you guys watching the Hillary interview on Dateline?
OMG! When asked if she regretted voting to give Bush approval to go to war w/Iraq, Hillary said she does not regret voting in favor of the resolution but rather how Bush has used it.

When asked if she disliked Bush personally, Hillary said she did not and that after 9/11 she told him personally that she was ready to support him publically in whatever he wanted to do.

OMG, with Dems like this is it any wonder Kevin Phillips told a St Louis audience last night that Bush's defeat in November is not a given?!

1. She understands the challenge of the Presidency. But she has been
critical of Bush on several occassions, so I expect were getting a *partial* story here.

2. she has to be very careful about the way in which she criticizes Bush ...
The GOP are desperate in her state, and will flail madly at anything they feel they can spin as "disrespecting the presidency". Remember the accusation that she was rolling her eyes at one of Bush's statements in his State of the Union a while back?

This is minor compared to what many of us were probably doing as we watched it on TV, but since Mrs. Clinton is in public and a Senator, they slammed her viciously. Unfortunately there are people out there who are so gullible that even if she has worked tirelessly for them, and they KNOW she has, if "the guys at work" are calling her all sorts of names, the peer pressure would be too much to resist.

3. I like Hillary
and the others are right. She's in a damned if you do; damned if you don't situation.

I don't begrudge her for what she had to do to get credibility as a Senator.
