I've have been absolutely crazed at work of late. I haven't done a damned thing on my website lately. I still have a blank website with the same Ella tunes on it. I have been getting into the Ella and Joe Pass recordings lately. I'll put some up soon (and hopefully have some time to actually upload some content!)

I have an idea that "healthy" people contribute as much or more to the community than "they" get out of it on a personal or financial basis.

Here I is! It does seem strange for me not to be on DU for 10 hours a day.

Thanks for asking... I've just been very busy with projects around the house. SPRING IS HERE and I'm ready to get back to my home improvement routines... and lawn work! Yay!

(I look so butch with my v-neck t-shirt and my green John Deere cap riding my genuine John Deere garden tractor/mower!)

Over the winter and back during hurricane Isabel, we had a few trees on our acre that blew down completely (or that lost BIG branches)... so this week I've been out with the chainsaw.

I'm trying to save myself from having to haul away all that I cut, so I've been cutting the pieces up small enough to be used as fireplace wood. Unfortunately we don't have a fireplace, but I've been stacking the wood near the street. I added a big sign that says "FREE FIREWOOD" and it's been slowly disappearing. Hooray! Take it all!

I know... the "free firewood" sign looks tacky, but it's temporary. And since the county trucks will not pick up wood or any brush that's not bagged or bundled... it's my best option for now.

Other upcoming projects include...

o cleaning out the high grass/weeds from the drainage ditch (improved water flow and evaporation = fewer mosquitoes)
o moisture-proofing the cinder-block walls of our garage
o putting up vinyl siding on the garage
o completing the roughed-in bathroom that's in the garage

Of course something ELSE always comes up that takes priority at the moment and all my pet projects will get put on the back burner. Oh well... I'll try to finish them all.
