1. Usually three times a year
We go to visit our son and his family and attend Sufi/Dances of Universal Peace functions in the upper Midwest.

2. Twice a year
Florida in February and Indianapolis in May, because my father likes auto racing. :) That's what we've done the past couple years..

3. Once a year
An expensive 10 days at the Jersey shore, in a nice beachfront hotel.

My 12-year-old was moaning yesterday at the start of vacation--"Why can't WE ever go away for spring break?" His best friend, whose parents are wealthy -- they have a beautiful house in town PLUS a beach house-- are going to the Caribbean for spring break. Had to give him a little lecture about the facts of life, and how we are lucky to be able to afford ONE vacation.

4. Depends on what you mean by traveling
We often travel a relatively short distance to the nearest metro area for shopping or dining. We travel to my husband's parents, about three hours away, several times per year. We drive to my parent's, about 10 hours away, a couple times per year. We haven't had a proper vacation since we've got married that didn't include some time with relatives. I am traveling by air tomarrow, my first air travel experience since before 9/11.

5. Don't do any traveling
since bushit stole the country. Won't do airports, bus terminals etc. With high gas prices can't afford a good car for long distance travel.
