Is there a term for a rectangular cube?

Hopefully this will look right on your computer. (Ignore the periods. Had to put them in for spacing purposes.) What is this shape called?

2. A Rectangular Prism, where the A and B axis are of the same length
Edited on Sat Apr-17-04 06:03 PM by DinoBoy
If, as it appears, the left and right sides are squares.

Keep in mind the name "prism" can also be applied to boxes where the corners are not 90 degrees, but if all the angles are 90, then it's a rectangular prism.

In mineralogy, the axes of prismatic crystals are given the names A, B, and C. The C axis is always applied to the long axis, no matter how you're holding the crystal (although it's drawn pointing up and down), and the A axis just happens to be whichever axis you choose to draw pointing out of the page.

13. That is a very easy question!
It's called a rectangular prism. I learned that several years ago in school (I'm in the sixth grade now).

15. Thank you Shrubhater
I guess there's more than one answer, because cuboid is also correct. But, maybe rectangular prism is better because it doesn't sound so technical. After all, everyone knows what a rectangle is and everyone knows what a prism is, but not many people have ever heard of a cuboid!
