14-year old Freddy Adu scored his first professional soccer goal today.

It was in DC-United's 3-2 loss to the MetroStars. If this guy can keep his head, he will be an absolute phenom. I saw him on 60-Minutes a couple of weeks ago. What a likable kid.

The kid is under a lot of pressure, because of all the media hype, and he's come through with a lot of poise. I remember when Pele agreed to come and play in the states. This kid will help promote soccer, like nobody has since Pele. He also deserves all of the money he is set to make.
