I have to admit, I am extremely partial to ALL pies, but, if I had to choose, the egg custard pie that Morrison's cafeterias used to serve was my all-time favorite.
A good pecan pie is breathing down its neck, though.
What's yours? :9

15. Morrison's custard pie! |
|
Yep, I loved Morrison's as a kid, with their Jell-O with crusty whipped cream on top. Picadilly just isn't the same. My favorite desert pie is probably blueberry with my favorite savory pie being a good beef shepherd's pie with crusted mashed potatoes and cheddar on top.

I love most pie but can't stomach any fruit pies except cherry or key lime. Speaking of pie, I tried pumpkin made with tofu for the first time yesterday. It was pretty good!

Made with "big", fresh, purple-blue, Pacific-Northwest Wild Huckleberries. Especially when it's home made after a weekend of wandering around the brush and picking them the month or so they are in season!
Of course, I like home made blackberry pie just about as much, but it's alot easier to get blackberries growing wild and free, (the brambles will grow just about anywhere with little effort) so huckleberries are a rare treat indeed.
