Happy Patriot's Day!!
Today is the 229th anniversary of the ride for liberty by Paul Revere, Dr. Samuel Prescott and William Dawes, from Boston to Middlesex County to alert all that the British troops were on their way, crossing over Boston Harbor. Let's all make a salute to their courage, their tenacity and their dream of freedom for America, just as we are trying to make the same bold road to freedom for ourselves!!!!!!

2. Listen, My Children, and you shall hear
Of the Midnight Ride of Paul Revere
On the eighteenth of April in Seventy-five
Hardly a man is still alive
Who remembers that famous day and year.......

Thank-you, Mr. Longfellow.

3. Let's raise a toast to those brave souls who went before us
For a minute, I thought you were referring to *'s bullshit "Patriot Day"

Was that piece of nonsense a one time only thing, or will it be not celebrated every year? Anyone know?

4. Speaking of that
When I logged on today my provider's page, which has a news headlines section, started off with the headline "Bush campaigns for patriotism" about his request to renew the Patriot Act. Apparently they don't know the difference.

5. Celebrated in two states
Maine and Massachusetts, since it took Maine a while to realize it needed its own identity! :)

Morning baseball and the marathon. Quite a day to be in Kenmore Square.
