A front porch state of mind....listening to Uncle Tupelo

This remains one of my favorite bands, though they broke up over ten years ago I think. Listening to Richard Buckner and Hothouse Flowers, too.

Something about this type of music is sort of rootsy/folksy front-porch state of mind....or maybe its this wonderful weather we've been having.

Even though they took a lot from what came before, they always did it with such love and care that the homage in some ways surpassed the influence.

I love that band so much.
