1. I had a friend who sauteed cubes of firm tofu
in sesame oil. It was quite good. Unfortunately I don't know any of the other ingredients.

2. I'm a vegetarian that doesn't cook that much
Tofu is something that needs work or it can be very bland.

3. This defeats the purpose...but
Slice tofu in thin slices--

dip in egg wash and coat with Italian flavored bread crumbs

fry in olive oil until brown

layer with cheese and sauce for

tofu parmagiana

Really really good

4. Do you like sweet & sour? Pineapple, tofu, green bell pepper, very spicy.

It's Thai style...very tasty, over steamed rice, makes a full meal very low in fat & calories & high in protien...and quite easy to make.

Let me know if your interested in the recipe, and I'll call a woman I know who makes it once a week and get it.

6. I don't eat tofu, but
heard on NPR the other day someone talking about what to do with the extra moisture before using it. She said something to the effect of putting it in a bowl, putting a plate on top of it, and placing something of moderate weight on top of the plate. That will squeeze out the excess moisture that supposedly bothers some people.

I have no idea. I wouldn't know a tofu if a tofu walked right in front of me on the street!

good luck
