Anybody ever had Cruzan rum?

My buddy brought some back from St. Croix. He gave me a $5 bottle of 151 (God, I love duty-free!), and it's excellent. Burns like a motherfucker, but whatcha expect?

He also brought back a bottle (for himself) of their blackstrap rum. I never thought the nastiest by-product of molasses could produce such a heavenly nectar! Truly, this is the food of the gods!

Anyway, I was just curious. Never seen the stuff here (I usually stick to the whiskey, beer, and wine -- not a big rum drinker, so I could have missed it at Discount Liquors).

1. Never even heard of it before. Is it a dark rum?

2. I assume they have light and dark varieties.

The 151 is aged for 2 years, so it is a mellow brownish color. The blacktrap stuff is almost opaque, it looks like a stout.
