What do you think happens when you die?
Do you cease to exist or is there something more?

3. I HOPE there is something more...
but I honestly have a very hard time in seeing the validity of it. Having not expirienced anything paranormal or at all holy in my lifetime I seriously doubt the existance of any of that.

But it doesn't mean I don't want there to be. The "heaven" that I've heard about sounds wonderful. :)

4. I think there is something more.
Since I won't really know until I do die, believing that I will see loved ones again gets me by.

5. Cessation of consciousness
In other words, nothing. You just die. You stop. No afterlife. No reincarnation. When the ride's over, the ride's over.

There are some of us who's rather only dance this dance once.

That's why we need to do our best to make the most of the time we have. I just hope I go out with a good soundtrack.

12. I think there's an afterlife
but it isn't the Roman Catholic "heaven as reward". Everyone goes. It's just there, not as a reward.

Like did Jack Tatum or Frenchy Fuqua touch the ball first?
Important questions like that will be answered.

18. I think
there is something more.

I think there is a spirit that is released. 'The 'Spirit helps those left behind to cope with the loss, and then it goes beyond to the reward.

20. Tough question
I hope there is some sort of afterlife, but I hope I don't go to the burning pits of hell because I'm not a perfect person.

I think there's something, but I can't say for sure, and neither can any other reasonably honest person.

22. if you are lucky, you see a bright light,
then "someone" tells you it "isn`t your time"...that`s what my mom said after she came out of a drug overdose induced coma. i believe her ,she never thought much about life and death before that moment in time. and when she died several years later i knew she went thru that light...

24. Absolutely positively nothing ....
Edited on Mon Apr-19-04 12:55 AM by Trajan
No spirit ...

No soul ...

No trumpets and pearly gates ...

No lambs and vials ....

No consciousness whatsoever ....

We wilt like lilies until we turn back into the earthly, nutritive material from whence we came ....

I wonder if other animals contemplate their eschatological fate before they go off to die forever ? ...

26. I think there's something more, but what it is is hard to say
I think that we get re-united with people we knew well and loved, and live without the needs or desires we have here. Just a peaceful existence. Reincarnation is a possibility to preserve harmony in the afterlife.

27. WHERE DO YOU GO WHEN YOU DIE?

WHERE DO YOU GO WHEN YOU DIE?
by Robyn Hitchcock and the Egyptians

Where do you go when you die?
Where do you go when you die?

There isn't any saviour
There isn't any Lord
There isn't a madonna
Sitting there to be adored
There is no salvation
There is no damnation
This is it for you
And baby, this is it for me

Where do you go when you die?
Where do you go when you die?

The church is full of people
Praying to themselves
Praying to each other
Praying not to go to hell
The church is full of people
Praying to the void
Eyes deep within them
And they're feeling paraniod
You know, all I've ever been is me
All I know is I
And I will turn to nothing
In the moment that I die

Where do you go when you die?
Where do you go when you die?

You're conciousness evaporates
Your body hits the ground
And if you have a soul, you know
It will not stick around
It could merge with Napoleon
Or blend with Easy-E's
Might get stuck in limbo
Like a balloon up in the trees
There ain't no Pontius Pilate
There ain't no Judas Priest
There's just a lump of rotting meat
Officially pronounced deceased

Where do you go when you die?
Where do you go when you die?

You're not supposed to ask that question
You're supposed to be here now
And if you have good karma
You won't come back as a cow

Where do you go when you die?
Where do you go when you die?
Where do you go?
