I must say I am..

In the last three days, it seems as if the threads I post to , get locked.. There were three McDonald's threads going, and I posted to the one that had several posts.. and then WHAM, it's locked.. :(.. Granted, it was posted a few minutes after the zero replies one, but.. :(:(

I have gotten into the habit of waiting til there are multiple (MANY) replies, and then invariably, someone will drop in and disrupt, and then WHAM..locked..

I guess I am a "reader" now..

Regrettably,people who do not donate, cannot search, but a pitiful request for donors.....


Please plug in a keyword into the search engine BEFORE you post a "new" story... If someone had already posted it, just add your comments to the one already started.. Sometimes the "first" one posted is on page two..

It would be nice also, if a "later posted" thread had numerous replies, and the "first" one is a zero, to lock the zero, even if it's the first..:)..{convoluted synatx, I know}

the thread starts dropping like a lead weight. I hope I haven't cursed your thread. :-) I even started a couple of thread in GD just to watch them sink forever into oblivion. Sometimes I feel like I am just talking to myself. LOL

I've noticed this myself, but them I a newbie who hasn't donated yet, and I didn't feel I had much standing to complain.

For my part, I try very hard to make sure when I post to LBN that I'm not posting old news. I read down through all the headlines on at least page one, and if I notice a lot of new ones have been posted in recent hours, I go to page two as well. And, before I actually post, I TAB open a new window to make sure the story hasn't been posted while I was in the midst of composing mine. Despite all this, I did post a dupe once so far. Mistakes will be made I guess.

But, it seems to me that many recently haven't even tried to determine whether the news story is actually new. And it's really weird sometimes that the first story posted gets fewer comments than one on the same story posted hours later.

Anyways...just rambling on. I'm still adjusting myself to the format here and trying to notice trends like this. That's the one I've noticed in recent days.
