The Sopranos - talk amongst yourselves. |
|
Last night's episode was really good. Much more interesting, esp. with Tony getting acquainted with his dad's mistress. She turned out to be kind of a jerk, huh? She was as obnoxious as his mother, IMO. Had her son's dog put down when he moved to Tel Aviv (instead of just caring for it), used Tony's advance money to buy shoes instead of getting her phone turned on, ridiculing his mother, etc. And singing Happy Birthday Mr. President??? What a piece of trash!
The bit with Christopher and Tim Daly as recovery buddies was pretty good too.
Every prediction I've ever made about the direction for the show to be taking has been wrong, so in keeping with that tradition, I'm hereby stating that I think Tony Blundetto is going to be asked (by Frankie Valli) to kill Johnny Sack. You heard it here first!

1. I thought it was a great episode too |
|
No Carmella, which was disappointing, but seeing Tony in a flashback scene was worth it.

I knew she looked familiar, but couldn't place her till the credits. I kept getting this feeling of impending doom that Tony was gonna lose it with her-- yeah, she was kind of obnoxious, but I didn't want her to get hurt.
The Christopher and friend bit was quite good-- it killed me when C asked, "Why didn't you call me?" after beating the shit out of him.
Now which one is Frankie Valli??

3. Frankie Valli is in with "Little" Carmine Lupertazzi's crew. |
|
He wasn't in last night's show, he was in a scene from next week's episode. Him, Tony Blundetto, and someone else, maybe Little Carmine?

4. I loved all the AA hypocrisy, that was hilarious. |

Right from the start, when he thanks Chris and then talks about taking a moral inventory, it was dripping with irony...
I think you are right about Tony Blundetto, because the teasers often misdirect, and they did try to give the impression that the hit was going to be on T, but Johnny Sack makes more sense.
And the part where T's dad gets him to lie to his mom, but T keeps assigning all the blame to his mom... he can't blame his dad because it would be too much like looking in the mirror.

7. But I always make my guesses based on the previews, and |
|
I'm STILL always wrong!!! ;)
They're pretty clever with those previews, always making you think one thing and then something else happens!

8. yeah, I suppose they are |

I have been fooled a few times myself.
But who else could it be?
I bet it drives a rift between Tony and Tony if he doesn't tell Tony.
