Poll question: Which Network Anchor Do You Watch The Most?
From either CBS, NBC or ABC.

Rather.
Brokaw.
Jennings.

My money goes with Jennings. He's smart, fair and Canadian.

You?

1. I like CBS.
They seem much more fair, centered, and truly balanced.

6. I'm with you
I like CBS, although I prefer the second-in-command anchor to Rather.

7. I watch all 3 though I tend to watch CBS the most.
They have the fairest news coverage and by F-A-R the best shows.

ABC has the most sensationalized news and by F-A-R the worse shows.
It seems that in every show they must go to Disney World :puke:.

Disney bought ABC and uses it's shows to promote Disney World.

:puke:

9. Rather. At least he's American.
Unlike Jennings, who's from the land up north.

12. So? What's your point?
Surprising you should say such a thing being a Kerry supporter, since Kerry's wife is was born in Mozambique. As you would say, she's therefore a "Mozambiquian", not an American, and not cut out to be first lady. Right?

14. I'm just teasing Magic Rat
He attributed his like for Jennings in part to the fact that he's Canadian.

11. I don't watch Dan Blather, Peter Joker, Tom Blowhard or Jim Liar!
I listen to Amy Goodman and get the rest of the news from the Guardian and the BBC

13. Can't remember the last time I watched any of them...
"Network TV news" has seemed to me so entirely manufactured, artifical, behind the times and ratings-driven for years now. But I have to add that Dan Rather, wherever his heart and soul may lie notwithstanding, has literally been FREAKING me out for years now. When I do watch him, I cringe. He seems so self-conscious, so unsure of himself, so unnatural and weird...His very syntax seems forced, almost always. Actually, he kinda reminds me of Nixon, another self-conscious public figure who never seemed comfortable in his own skin. Remember, some years ago, when Rather decided to end his broadcast with "Courage"? THAT was a failed experiment, swiftly abandonned, but the point is, why did he ever think it was a good idea?

If Brokaw can retire, so can Dan. He's, like, 72 now? Almost a decade older than when Walter retired. But it's like he still NEEDS to convince us that he's as good as Cronkite, and won't leave until he does so. Hello? THAT shit just ain't gonna happen.

15. I wanna be an anchor

When I watched US TV 'news,' I tended to prefer Peter Jennings. I never 'got' the whole celebrity-anchor thing...it's not that way in other countries where, perhaps not coincidentally, the news is actually news.
