Did anyone else enjoy Walking Tall?
We saw it this weekend, and I have to say, I laughed, I cried, and we cheered. It was great movie. I enjoyed it THOROUGHLY. I saw some DUers pan it...did any of you enjoy it?

I saw the same movie in the 70's except his name was Buford Pusser.

3. It's not the same movie...
Same premise, different movie, character, town, etc...
We really enjoyed it, even though we saw and enjoyed the other Walking Tall. It's different. Completely.
It was dedicated to Buford.

7. I grew up in West Tennessee
Madison County, not far from McNairy County, home of Sheriff Pusser. I loved the original movie. The scene where he puts the judge's office in the old mens' restroom was shot at my alma mater, Union University in Jackson.

Haven't seen the new one yet, although I expect I'll get around to it. Joe Don Baker in the original was great as Buford.
