4. another sleepless night for me

working on undergrad thesis

5. I thought I was the only one

who was up all night long. I am so tired, but the moment I lay my head down, my brain starts working 100 mph. And this is after having been up most of last night, working a full day, and taking two sleepy pills and 4 brandies. Sometimes I think the only thing that will allow me to sleep is a frying pan to the side of my head.

6. writing writing writing

Tonight's task is to finish a paper on how inflammation can cause preterm birth.

Last night I had to finish a paper on how dioxin can affect the development of brain structures which are different in males and females. I did get to sleep some, though.

On Friday I turned in my paper on how manganese messes up the brain to produce a disease much like parkinson's.

Man, I am so sick of writing! Thank goodness there's DU, which I keep open in a minimized window - every once in a while I check in to help keep me awake. But tomorrow (well, I guess today - technically) I am going to sleep the sleep of the just. The just too exhausted to care!

This is my last paper of the semester, though.

Actually... come to think of it, this is the last paper I'll *ever* have to write for a class again (as I'm done with coursework after this semester, and move on to just research.)

HOLY CRAP! This is a major life milestone, and I almost missed noticing it. Again, DU does something good. I think I can actually face the paper again, now that I realized that.

Time to load the player with: Pink Floyd - Animals, Camel: the Snow Goose, and Poi Dog Pondering's Pomegranate (my three favorite "writing" cd's.

10. Same thing

Get off work at 11:00. Job is 90 miles from home,con't afford to go home but twice a week. Sleep in empty office on air mattress. Post on DU until sleepy. It's like "Groundhog Day". :cry:
