A source has confirmed that VAN HELSING director Stephen Sommers is presently attached to produce a new FLASH GORDON movie. in the remake of "The King and I". *embarassed grin from admitting that I knew that*
Anyway, they do NOT need to remake this movie. Nothing can top the cheesy version from our childhoods. I picked it up on dvd a while back and made my 14 year old niece watch it. Her reactions were fuckin' priceless. She couldn't quite believe the cheesy stuff her parents and I watched when we were young. :)

If David Bowie's still acting, I always thought he made a particularly creepy villain too. Tough to picture him bald, though.
