What song would you like to hear Bad Religion cover? |
|
I was working on "You'll Never Walk Alone" with my choir this morning, when I thought about how amusing it would be to set the lyrics to a Bad Religion song. I thought about it a little more, and now I can hear Bad Religion performing "You'll Never Walk Alone" in my head, and it sounds quite good. What other songs do you think could be amusingly translated into their particular brand of creamy goodness?

3. Try some "Me First And The Gimme Gimmes" |

The have an album of show tunes, an album of folk songs, etc. Punk Supergroup from members of Swingin Utters, NoFX, some others, covering songs in the most hilarious fashion. I mean, "Don't Cry For Me Argentina", and "Leavin' On A Jet Plane" as punk songs. It doesn't get any better than that.
Ok, it probably does get better than that, but it was fun to think that for a minute.

...but their entire purpose is to do that sort of thing. It was actually their version of "My Favorite Things" that gave me the idea in the first place. I'd just like to see a band like BR, who's more about intelligent lyrics with big words singing a song that's really out of place for them.
