Man Leaves Note To Self: "Rob Bank" - Arrested
<snip>

KANSAS CITY, Kan. (AP) -- A man who added "rob bank" to his to-do list pleaded guilty to robbing six banks in suburban Kansas City.

John Sarver pleaded guilty Monday in U.S. District Court to six counts of bank robbery.

Sarver, 47, of Kansas City, Kan., admitted robbing the banks in suburban Leawood, Prairie Village, Shawnee and Olathe between January 2002 and December 2003.

In each case, Sarver handed a teller a note demanding money.

3. Ya know, you wouldn't think you'd forget something like that.
Hmm, now let's see. What was I gonna do today??? Oh yeah. Rob a bank. NOW I remember. Thank God I wrote that down.

My all time favorite stupid criminal had to be the guy who robbed the convenience store and also demanded booze from behind the counter. The clerk gave him the money but refused to give him the booze unless he could see ID to prove his age. The robber showed the ID and the clerk just remembered his name/address, etc and the guy was in custody a few hours later.
