Am I the only one here that thought Hellboy was pathetic? |
|
it was a lameass piece of shit in my opinion. There was absolutely no plot. Everything was just a justification of more scenes of Hellboy kicking some random monster's ass. WTF?

1. I thought that it was pretty disappointing... |
|
Not as bad a Blade 2, but it could have been much better...

Has got to suck. I got a free 10 minute preview for just walking into bestbuy... annoying and a great indicator of the quality of a movie.

3. I didn't care for it very much either but |

I always try and pay to see any movie with Ron Perlman (or Linda Hamilton) in it. I loved him ever since "Beauty and the Beast".

There was so much more they could have done, but it seemed like they were holding back. We enjoyed it, but I'd have liked to see more creatures. I loved Abe Sapien. What a cute/sweet little guy. Duckie

Just no excuse. I like Ron Perlman too, but I'm going to have to watch "City of Lost Children" another ten or 15 times to get rid of the bad taste this movie left me with.
It's a bummer, too, because I was really looking forward to it.

It's gotten pretty good reviews, and my family thought it would at least be fun. But instead, it left me massively depressed.
The most inarticulate villains ever -- one never talks, one barely talks, and one wants to bring about the apocalypse but never explains why.
A lame-ass "normal" viewpoint character who plays no real role in the story (and apparently wasn't in the comic) but just drags down the action whenever he appears.
A wise old expert on the paranormal who tells us (in a voiceover for the opening sequence) that he was 28 in 1944, but who apparently feels some anachronistic need to furnish his study in high Victorian style.
A plot that involves an attempt to draw Hellboy into embracing his demonic nature -- but which involves no attempts at moral corruption, no sense of his being caught up in a tightening web of inevitability, not even a moment of "Luke, come over to the Dark Side." Just a lot of aimless running around followed by, "Do what we say if you want your girlfriend back."
Bleh.
