Who here was born in another country besides the US
Me, I was born in Monrovia, Liberia. I am not kidding. What generally annoys me about telling people I was born in Africa is that they often assume that I was born in South Africa because I am a white guy. My parents lived there for seven years and have home movies to prove it. My mom was attacked by a "witch doctor" because she was filming him (many tribes think that having your picture taken takes your soul). I have amazing african art and tribal masks throughout my house. Now I live in South Carolina, a far distance from Africa.

Lived there until I was 15. Parents were Americans, however, so I have dual citizenship.

10. I was born in Germany
but I left when I was six weeks old and I've never been back. I want to go, though, and hopefully I will, soon.

I was born an Army brat, but grew up an Air Force brat. I've always been an American, but I've always liked the fact that I was born somewhere else.

11. Sydney, Australia
My parents came over here when I was about 9.
I wonder how hard it would be to repatriate back to Australia if Bush wins in '04 :)

...Linz, Austria. A breathtakingly beautiful country with warm and wonderful people. Please don't judge us by one egotistical, pumped up, so-called actor!

14. I was born in Landstuhl, Germany
On a military base. My parents are Americans. My dad was stationed over there when he was in the Army. I don't remember much of Germany. We moved back to the states when I was four.

How long ago? Do you remember anything about it?

I'd be interested in hearing your memories of the political climate there...
