Does anyone else think that was a set up? No way those 3 in the bottom. They are the BEST. And the one who was voted off? Best damn singer the competition has seen in any season!

John Stevens couldn't carry a tune in a bucket! He's not even in the same league as the others, and that's including George, who wasn't at his best last night. Even a mediocre George is 10 times better than John on his best night!

I love LaToya and George ... but I would also be fine with Fantasia or Jennifer walking away with the title - they all have talent.

How could John get more votes than Jennifer, Fantasia and LaToya???

Fantasia is the best singer of any AI so far....even Ms. Degeneres said so the other day. Jennifer was one of the top three this season, but she's not even Tamyra.

The three divas were the best by far. Its ok for me since I think any of the top three star search adults make every Idol from every season look bad.

Any of the three star search finalists would have easily won any of the american idols so far. But I think the voters are f@cked in the head to put the best three on the bottom.

Each week John Stevens has this look on his face a pure disbelief. He knows he shouldn't still be in there, I am not even sure he really wants to be there at this point. Who is voting for him? He wasn't even part of the bottom 3? Give me a break!

Jennifer wasn't my favorite, but she hit it out of the park last night. She didn't deserve to go. On the bright side, she will have a career after AI, unlike a couple of the others that will be back next week.

the three best performers were the bottom three in voting tonight . . . even John Stevens can't believe he's still there . . . anyone who thinks that his performance last night (or any night, for that matter) was better than LaToya's, Fantasia's, or Jennifer's is a moron . . . and there must be a whole lot of 'em out there . . . but, as another poster pointed out, this IS a nation that elected Bush (well, not really, but you get the idea) . . . not sure I want to bother watching this fiasco anymore . . . 21. Why is anyone surprised at this?

You have 3 diva types, of the same demographic, singing in almost the exact same style as one another. Each week they get up there and try to out-do the other and run vocal scales and hit these high notes, regardless of whether or not the song in question actually called for it. They may have great voices but they each started acting like this competition was simply between the 3 of them and I'm sure people found that off-putting, in addition to splitting roughly the same demographic vote.

It doesn't make sense, but it is what it is.

but I was p***ed. The three best ones all in the bottom. And f***ing John Stevens still around. I still can't believe they let him come to Los Angeles to begin with. I'm going to see if I can't get a few people at work to vote in block for all the contestants but him. I work for ATT Wireless and we get free text messaging. :D

Note the big production and drama they made of the whole thing. It just seemed too "made" - if you know what I mean.

25. The good thing about Jennifer being booted....

is that she will be able to start her very successful career and making money sooner then the rest.

The show sucked last night and the voting was outright wrong in my opinion.

I believe though, that Jennifer, Latoya and my fave, Fantasia all have great careers ahead of them and whether they win AI or not is pretty much irrelevant at this point.

But as much as I hate to disagree w/ you all, I don't think Jennifer is Idol material.

She's got no range. And no, I don't mean vocal range, I mean style range. Every thing she sings turns into a "how do I make this into a huge production" sort of performance, and for me it was getting old.

Fantasia IS the best one. LaToya is not far behind.

George is just plain like-able. He can sing, most definitely, but he is, as Simon put it, someone that people will cheer for.

I've been thinking John Stevens' days were numbered for a few weeks now, and amazingly, he's only been in the bottom 3 once.

I'm also not that impressed with Jasmine Trias, and Diana DeGarmo started off strong, but has been wavering lately.

True. I never thought that Jennifer Hudson was going to be the American Idol. However, now was definetly not her time to go. She should have been given the chance to go as far as she could.
