if you have a problem with Steve Yzerman, you're probably going to have to take it up with the entire population of metro-Detroit... and if you're taking the "Wings = Yankees" theory out on him, that probably won't work, because he's been with the organization through his entire career. Even when the team wasn't good, in the '80s.

not trying to take that angle. Truth be told, based on player payroll, the Rangers would fit that analogy better... I just think that when you're talking about classy hockey players, people like Gretzky, Ray Bourque, Mats Sundin and Jarome Iginla have more class in thier toenails than anybody currently wearing a Red Wings jersey.

Steve Yzerman. Plays hurt, never complains to the media, faced them for every interview win or lose, and there was a LOT of losses in the early days. Never held out for more money. Never bitched when he was cut from the Team Canada by Keenan. I'd swear you'd never seen a hockey game.
