I just picked up the dvd but I've never seen it.

Dragged in some parts, but generally enjoyed it. Liked it enough to want to read the books.

one of the best movies ive seen in a long time... lotta focus on character development though if your looking for an action show with alot of shipfights, skip it, thiers only 2 sea battles in this one...

3. Liked it a lot more than I expected to....

I'm not a Russell Crowe fan, but thought he was very good in this, and the story, action and character development were all above average. A very well-done film.
