Why I F*****g Love Sports |
|
Edited on Thu Apr-22-04 12:52 AM by Mr. Blonde
I thought the other one needed a companion piece so here it is.
It gives me something to do. I can't always be on the computer, so I might as well go out and participate in a sport. Although on occasion my participation is unwanted by my teammates. I am about as useless in a game of basketball as well words can't describe how terrible I am.
I actually prefer individual sports to team sports. It is in those that when you watch you really see how tough someone is.
The only shame is when sports and politics collide, and then you have a mess. Title IX is ruining many non-revenue male sports, but wait that is a different topic.
Lets just say I love sports, and I am curious how many others feel the same way.

2. If you're really upset about the contracting of non revenue men's sports |
|
Ask why the football team needs a roster of over 100 players. In the NFL they do just fine with 60 something.

3. Oh believe me I wonder about that |

Certainly a roster cap for football would make sense. However, it will never be passed, especially when football is one of only two college sports that can pull its weight monetary wise. You can't piss of the team who pays for the non revenue teams.
