Poll question: Which of Romero's Zombie trilogy is best?
What is your favorite zombie flick in George Romero's trilogy?

2. Very good!
I've got the DVD set right here next to me. You should pick it up, $19.99 or cheaper.

3. Dawn of the Dead (the original) is one of the best horror movies ever made
Zombies over run the Earth and they hole up in a mall: good plot, great dialogue, scary, and tons of action. The original rocks.

I haven't seen the new one yet.

4. the new one
i dunno - i didn't care for it. they turned it into a 'bad boys' type action flick and removed all the cool messages dealing with america's consumer culture and decadence of the 70's.. there were also maybe 3 or 4 shots of the huge mob of zombies walking around zombieish - most of the undead shots were like 1 on 1 fights and the like. also apparently in this alternate reality where this zombie flick takes place, innocent teenage looks will triumph over flesh eating corpses which was a big cop out. plus i didn't like how they ran around now instead of slowly walked toward the victims - that was much creeper and really got under my skin. i think the creators of the remake were far too influenced by 28 days later (which is a bit ironic because I hear the creators of that were huge romero fans.)
