Ok, eeeew. (Sunburn update) |
|
The sunburn I got on my nose and forehead during the MoveOn bake sale doesn't hurt anymore, but now it's peeling and itchy. I also have a lovely scratch on my forehead, which may or may not be from the sunburn. (I tend to slice myself up in the garden -- it could be from a raspberry plant.)
(You can tell I don't get sunburns very often.)
Any remedies for the peeling, or do I have to let it run its course?

We haven't had direct sunlight in a few days. It's been rainy or drizzly or gray for most of the week.
(I do own sunscreen, and plan to use it from now on.)
Thanks.

4. Don't let the birdies chew on it. |
|
Olive may just draw a little blood, but Logos could rip off your nose.

Maybe that's the scratch on my forehead. Either bird could have done that.

5. Once you've got the 'peel' going... |
|
it's pretty much over anyway. Never heard of anything that can be done for it, however.

Find a suitable burial site for it, come up with a proper eulogy (with regard to whichever god you might worship), break out the carrot peeler, and go to work.
No need to string this out, you know.

10. Aloe vera taken directly from the plant. |
|
I burn easily and have found that Aloe puss (yeah, I know it sounds gross) directly applied to the burn works wonders. I keep a plant growing in my living room year round. Good luck!
