Who lives in Sasquatch Country? Any stories or encounters? |
|
Out here in Alberta, we have a couple of fairly credible encounters each year, particularly in the Banff-Jasper corridor and the Northwest sector of the province. The earliest recorded encounter (a class C, meaning evidence, but not a sighting) was by the great cartographer David Thompson in 1811. Many of the stories are clearly mis-identifications or tall tales but others hold up pretty well. What about your neck of the woods?

3. Yeah. There's some pretty good photographic evidence of the Skunk Ape. |

7. There have been sightings near my hometown... |
|
I can remember being out canoeing on LAke Tawakoni (near Greenville, TX) while my guy friends tried to convince me they had had a Bigfoot sighting back when we were in high school. They aren't the only ones though who have claimed to see Bigfoot in the East Texas piney woods so who knows.
I have a friend who grew up in the part of the country with the most Bigfoot sightings. He still sleeps with the blinds down and the curtains drawn because he thinks he had a sighting as a kid. He woke up one night and there were glowing eyeballs looking in his window...his second floor window at that. He won't say that it WAS Bigfoot...but he isn't sure it wasn't either.

You know, Scotland has it's own Bigfoot myth, bizarrely enough. Am Fear Liath Mor, the Great Grey Man of Ben Macdui. He haunts a mountain. It's quite the crazy story. http://www.worlddiff.com/places_cairngorms7.html

that BigFoot guy and the Dawg catcher tried to haul me in! Not being bald does have it's down side! Yes, I do save tons of money on things like hair cuts and electric razors! No, I will NEVER shave again!
