OK, now I have to laugh.... |
|
Some of you may remember the problems that I was having with Inutit (Makers of Quickbooks) regarding the card reader that we ordered that would allow us to take credit cards at the flea markets...well, I finally got fed up and called the office of the president (a department that handles complaints when you can't get satisfaction anywhere else...)
I talked with a really nice lady there. She helped me get my problem fixed. She found out what was wrong, fixed it by placing a new order for it and a few days later we had our card reader. I called her back when we got it and asked about the card reader I had ordered. I said I wanted to be sure we weren't going to get two. She looked and said, "You're getting another one tomorrow." She said, "Can you use it?" I said I was sure we could use it for backup if nothing else. She said Keep it.
Well, that was about two weeks ago. Today the doorbell rang and the UPS man was walking away. I opened the door and what did I find? Another card reader! That's 3!!!
I can't wait to call Sandy back. She's going to split a gut.

3. No, nothing left in the queue... |
|
But Sandy said, "Can you use it? Go ahead and keep it."
That's 3 card readers - each a $104.95 value - ours for the low low price of only....
Nothing.
We weren't charged for any of them.
A bargain at twice the price.

4. Similar Story With Columbia House |
|
I signed up a friend with one of those offers that was supposed to get me three free LP's (yes, LP's...this was at least a couple of years ago) Weeks went by and I didn't get my free records. I complained several times until after about two months I made a rather angry call to their customer service.
Three days later I got my records. The next day I got a second copy of each record, a week later, another set of three. Columbia house didn't want to pay the postage for the return so I gave the extras away to friends.
In this case the squeaky wheel got the grease, again and again.
