LA Law Would Make Low-Riding Jeans A Crime
<snip>

With her hip-hugging jeans fastened low enough to show off the sparkly strings of her thong, Britney Spears could be a common criminal when she comes home to Louisiana to put on a show.

And Nelly's baggy jeans, if they happen to slip and show his drawers, could get him booted from the rap circuit to a New Orleans jail cell if state lawmakers approve a bill filed Tuesday in the House that would make it a crime to wear pants below the waist.

Even plumbers could get canned under the draft law that state Rep. Derrick Shepherd, D-Marrero, said he filed because he was tired of catching glimpses of boxer shorts and G-strings over the low-slung belt lines of young adults.

House Bill 1626 would punish anyone caught wearing low-riding pants with a fine of as much as $500 or as many as six months in jail, or both.

I'm a big fan of "pull me" thong shots. What can I say, I live in a college town.

2. I didn't think it was possible, but...
someone finally came up with a law dumber than the one in Georgia that would ban genital peircings for adult women.

16. If you're talking about the piercing law...
in Georgia...yes, men are still allowed to get their genitals pierced. The law only applies to women. :eyes:

3. Good Grief
Well, I'm tired of seeing flag pins on the lapels of our politicians. How can I submit a bill banning blatant patriotic political spin?

6. And ankles too!
I'm tired of catching glimpses of socks and sometimes even, bare ankles. It's time to put a stop to this madness, the future of our country is at stake.

7. What really makes no sense about this...
is that it is virtually impossible righ tnow to find women's jeans that are NOT hip-huggers. I know...I've tried. I've been forced into the trend whether I like it or not.

8. Sorta like back in the 60s when some schools measured skirt length
to make sure the skirt came within 3 inches of the tops of our knees...
They said that short skirts were disruptive to classes. Well, so was being hauled into the principals office, made to kneel on a chair and having some DOM take a ruler to our legs.

Then there was the high school principal concerned about the bra-less movement. He required several young ladies to come to his office and jump up and down.

My ol mom always recommended keeping a close eye on those who would enforce their puritanical standards on the 'provocative nature of someone else's clothing choices'. She grew up in the bible belt and had to deal with a few older gentlemen who would have done better with more outlets for normal nature. Wonder what she would have to say about the new American Taliban.

I know I should say something about being outraged but.. I'm laughing way to hard.
Must be a really slow day for laws in Louisiana.

20. Oh goodness gracious...
...if this is the most pressing issue in Louisiana, then I'm moving there. Obviously Louisiana doesn't have serious problems its legislators need to be considering.

These people need to check themselves, seriously.
