Poll question: Favorite Classic *Bloom Country* Bit?
I miss *Bloom County.* *Outland* never did it for me and neither does *Opus.* Around what do your fondest Bloom County memories cluster?

7. Oh man! I forgot about Billy and the Boingers!
I had the disc too! What was the other song on it apart from "Cuz I'm A Boinger?"

And I remember the Sunday strip where they did the ad for "Deathtongue." That was hilarious. "Master skins-basher Hodge!"

8. Yep, Billy and the Boingers
and their big "hit", "Let's Run Over Lionel Richie With a Tank." Genius.

"Doesn't 'Boingers' have a vaguely sexual connotation?"

"No, that would be 'Billy and the Diddlers'".

10. I could never get into the Opus/Lola thing.
I dunno why. And I was sad that Cutter and Bobbi went their separate ways, too. I missed Bobbi in the latter years.

20. I voted "other."
When Oliver created a "space launch" that was actually Cutter John's wheelchair with pontoons and a dozen or so weather balloons. So John and Opus go up into the stratosphere, veer off course, crash land in the ocean, and get picked up by a Soviet submarine.

Come back, Berke Breathed! We need you now more than ever.
