Ok, Filk fans and geeks. I need some help please.

I'm looking for the lyrics to a song whose name I can't remember. It's about a planet with lots of scary beasts who are actually pretty nice, but little fuzzy animals who aren't. The refrain goes something like...

"Those little fuzzy animals,
little furry animals,
little fuzzy animals,
you suck your blood."

1. It was written by Frank Hayes

and the name of the song is "Little Fuzzy Animals". I didn't find any lyrics on-line in a couple minutes searching, but it's possible I have an old filk songbook buried at home somewhere that has the lyrics in it. I'll try to check when I get home tonight if no one else has come up with them.

2. I was thinking it was a Frank Hayes song...

...but I couldn't find it either. Searching through the hours of filk on tape that I have was not a project I was looking forward to starting.

In my search I did learn that it was first played on Dr. Demento on 08/30/1992.

3. It was on Frank's tape: "Don't Ask"

...if that helps to narrow down your search any. I'm pretty sure I didn't throw out any of my old Filk tapes when I last did a music purge, so I might be able to transcribe it from the tape (that I haven't listened to in 2 decades!) if I can't find lyrics. Assuming I can find the tape, of course! I could probably come up with a number of the lyrics for his song "Never Set the Cat on Fire" off the top of my head if I really tried. :evilgrin:

I actually had "Cat" in my truck till I changed over to a CD player in the new one.

Unfortunately I don't own "Don't Ask". All my Filk stuff is in a pseudo Collection/Anthology format. Translation. I made my own tapes. :)

Yep, that's the song. :evilgrin: And I might still have some tapes around from some of the Filk Cons that I've been to where I taped live performances. I know I taped a lot of Frank and Leslie Fish at some point...
