23. Heywood also made a Charleston Post-Courier story about the Masters
last year. A protestor identified himself as Heywood Jablome. Hey, whaddayaknow? The link still works: http://charleston.net/stories/041303/spo_13protest.shtml but Heywood is gone. In his place is another link to this wildly funny editorial by the duped reporter: http://charleston.net/stories/042003/com_jscottcol.shtml

Heywood! Heywood!

7. Hoo boy, I got a few
Lets start with family.

My dad's name is Richard Johnson. ie Dick Johnson. Found out recently that our shared middle name may be Arabic for Peter. So Dick Peter Johnson. Sheesh.

New a girl named Crystal Shanda Leer.

Worked with a guy named Harry Bott. Try saying that name over the PA.

He worked with a guy named Dr De'ath, which coincidently I now work with his distant family member Darren De'ath. We are in the computer support biz. One time a while ago he had to log onto a bunch of users systems over the weekend. When people came back on monday we got a rash of callers claiming a hacker going by the name Dr Death aka ddeath had been trying to get into their computers.

Fiance takes calls from orchestras around the world. Took a call from a Mr Rex Hiscox. That one cause a bit of fuss.

In the computer biz we have to cook up login names for people. They can sometimes wind up a bit silly. Here are some of the more classics:

aholme1
asoltit
aluskok

I made lists & lists of hilarious names, and damn me, lost them all. I only remember two.

D.M. van ten Dyck (worked w/ a rather prudish young woman who said, "well, that's a name that'll bring a guy to his knees....")

Max & Mabel Poorman -- they sent $700 per week. $700 per week to a fundamentalist christian radio ministry. In 1986. :eyes:

20. Benefits guy at WMU -
Dick Shopper.

:7

I got the giggles over that one - my mom and I were meeting with the WMU people when my stepfather was clinging to life in the hospital. Guy in our meeting told my mom to call Dick Shopper for more info... The stress of flying 2500 miles on short notice, no sleep, and expecting my stepfather to die any day left me fighting back helpless giggles when that name was mentioned.

24. Iva Bonar
A real name that came up in a discussion at our county commissioner's meeting a few years back.

Lots of snickering and suppressed laughter.
