I just gotta cheer for the Grizzlies tonight. |
|
The Grizzlies this year remind me of the T-Wolves in 1997. Flip Saunders almost won Coach Of The Year that year, too. Hubie Brown was presented with his COY award tonight, and watching that ceremony tonight really left me feeling good about the Griz.
Sorry Spurs fans (I hate the Spurs anyway, so it really doesn't matter), but I gotta cheer for the Griz tonight. Actually, I'm a T-Wolves fan, so it's just as well anyway.:)
I would love nothing more than to see the Griz win a couple of games in this series.

1. I'd like Memphis to win |
|
I wouldn't be surprised if they win one game at home, but I doubt the series goes back to San Antonio.

2. May I inquire as you why you hate the Spurs? |
|
They're a team made up of good citizens. They should be a model for all professional sports teams to aspire to.
Now, wanting them to lose is one thing, and I understand why you'd feel that way. But hating the Spurs? You should aspire to be the Spurs.

3. The same reason I hate the Green Bay Packers. |
|
They're a rival of my favourite team, of course.

I guess I'm just more judicious about how I use the word "hate" then.
Carry on.

6. That's OK. I don't hate the Spurs like I hate a lot of teams. |

The reasons I have are 100 percent game/season-related. I have nothing against the guys themselves, their attitudes or their behaviour. It's all business-related.
But don't get me started on the Dallas Cowboys, for example. There's a LOT of reasons I hate them, and not just for business reasons.

9. We won't even be in the same division anymore next year... |
|

...so my animosity towards the Spurs will already decrease. The Western Conference Finals (Spurs-Wolves) will be the last time you'll se me express any animosity.
I have less negative feelings towards the Spurs this year anyway, because we finally won the division this year, unlike the last couple of years when your team kept my guys out of 1st place.:)
LONG LIVE THE NORTHWEST CONFERENCE!!!

We're in the Division of Death - Dallas, Houston, New Orleans, Memphis and us. Yikes. Every team a playoff team this season. Whoa.

5. J-Will is fun to watch! |

I'm glad we got Bibby ultimately, but I do miss Jason Williams. When he's feelin' it he's feelin' it.

7. I will admit he can be fun to watch. |
|
When he's good, he's GOOD. But when he's bad, he's AWFUL.
