9. My daughter just turned 13
We've been packing for a move, and I keep coming across photos of her over the years. Heartbreaking! She's a terrific kid and I wouldn't trade her, but it seems the years go by too damned fast. And, she's it for me. I was a single parent from the time she was a year old. Most of my life was spent trying to eke out a living and make sure she was fed and clothed. I feel like I missed a lot from just the daily crush of living.

But, things are better now, and I enjoy her immensely, even when she sighs heavily and rolls her eyes at me. Which is about every 5 minutes when she's awake. :)

12. my son now has an "attitude"
I read somewhere that pre-adolecence begins at 8 now. Never a dull moment. My mom says, "enjoy it now, before you know it he'll be driving." :)
