6. Four other states share something "special"
Their capitol cities start with the same letter as the state does.. No fair peeking at online references.. most people get 3 right away and then have to dig deep for the 4th..

This is a good party question..

7. What do I win?
Edited on Fri Apr-23-04 01:30 AM by Sufi Marmot
Oklahoma - Oklahoma City
Indiana - Indianapolis
Hawaii - Honolulu
Delaware - Dover

And no, I didn't cheat... :-)

On edit: Dover, DE took me a while, I had to start going alphabetically state by state...

10. Another geography trivia question
This was a final Jeopardy question at one time. What is the only state, entirely surrounded by other states, in which you can travel to all bordering states by going south? Anyone know? No Cheating!

13. Nope
You can't reach Pennsylvania by traveling south from West Virginia. Try again.

14. Actually, you can reach PA by travelling south from W.Va..
Edited on Fri Apr-23-04 07:32 AM by bunnyj
If you are way up in the panhandle of Wva. And Ohio, and Maryland. And Virginia, and Kentucky. So tell me again how I'm wrong.

15. That wasn't the answer Alex gave
Edited on Fri Apr-23-04 07:34 AM by ldsjocktx
and I don't see it as possible according to my atlas. I still don't see anywhere PA is to the south of any part of WV.

16. Find Weirton and Wheeling on your map.
Edited on Fri Apr-23-04 07:36 AM by bunnyj
And then tell me that you cannot get to PA by travelling south.

On edit, I see your map doesn't show Weirton and Wheeling. But look to the immediate left of PA's western border. That area in white is West Virginia. If you went to the southeast, you'd enter PA.

Regardless of what Alex said, I still think I'm right.

17. I know where they are
and you can't get to PA traveling south from them. I added a map on the post above. They are in the northern most sliver of the state. As you can see on the map, PA is only to the north and east of WV.

24. I already put the answer down.
But using your interpretation you can find other answers as well. Kentucky for one. Wisconsin. Nebraska. Indiana. Missouri. Their could be other too, those are just the ones which come to mind. Not too challenging your way.

22. The answer is......
Arkansas. In the far NW corner, you can travel south and hit Oklahoma as you can see on this map. You can also hit Missouri by traveling south in the far northeast corner. The others are obvious.
