OK, when I think Worst Sci-Fi monster, I think Doctor Who (I know, I love the show, but really, come on), so, come on and meet the Macra.

37. I've seen this one
It may have my vote as worst monster ever on film. The fact that the victims have to help it swallow them is the best part.
The cool music at the dance adds to the terror

34. The Giant Spider from "Giant Spider Invasion"
Edited on Fri Apr-23-04 10:11 AM by Fenris
The Giant Spider invades lower Wisconsin!

Is that a spider leg or Snuffleupagus?

Here the giant puppet invasion force initiates mating with a small farmhouse.

But the most horrifying creature this movie had to offer was Alan "Skipper" Hale in the role of the local chief of police. He even said "Little Buddy" in a moment of groan-inducing camp.

It's remarkably hard to find shots from this movie. Maybe that's a good thing.

That's Tor Johnson, of "Plan 9 From Outer Space" infamy, as the monster in "The Beast of Yucca Flats." Curiously, nearly all of the film takes place on a mountain.
