Crossword puzzle question...
I always see a clue along the lines of :"A non-dairy spread" and the answer is "Oleo"

Now, has anybody ever seen Oleo? I've seen margarine and butter, but Oleo? Where can one find Oleo (TM)?

1. Oleo Margarine
Thats what it was called when I was growing up. Although I don't personally remember this, they used to dye it yellow to look like butter.

8. heck, yeah
I remember seeing the word "Oleomargarine" on the package when I was a kid.

My grandmother told me when she used it during WWII, it was in a plastic baggie and she had to squeeze & smush it for a while to get it ready, then squeeze it out.
