Dog Eats 28 Golf Balls

LONDON (Reuters) - Vets cut open a German Shepherd dog to find she had scoffed no fewer than 28 golf balls.

Eighteen-month old Libby had been coughing blood after weeks of fetching golf balls at the northern England course where owner Mike Wardrop works as a bar manager.

Wardrop told Reuters on Friday he hadn't realized the dog had a secret appetite for the dimpled balls she found at Didsbury Golf Club in Manchester.

"When I take her for a walk every day she is prone to finding golf balls," Wardrop said. "She can fit five in her mouth."

4. I installed a toilet the other day

that the lit said could flush 29 golf balls at a time. Supposedly low-flo, too. I helped my 74 year father in law put it in, as the cheap low-flo that came with their condo was poor - barely accomplished "routine" tasks. Reminded me of that first episode King of the Hill bit about low flow and corruption at City Hall.

uh, there was no dog involved, sorry, tangential...

for the record we didn't actually try the 29 golf balls - that seemed like a costly test.

Still a penalty. And, if the dog runs off with the ball (in the middle of the fairway, of course) and drops it in the rough, I have to play it from there. Damn dogs.
