6. Hey, I'm not accusing. |
|
This was all the "liberal" TV pundits I could think of. In fact, Moyers is the only one who really IS a liberal as far as I can tell. Rooney, maybe.
I've always regarded Cronkite with a bit of suspicion. He may not be a rightwinger, but he is EXTREMELY pro-establishment. He scoffs at anyone who would dare question the infallibility of the Warren report.

7. I believe he still claims to be a democrat. |
|
And he often brings up his service under Carter. I don't think he's ideological as much as he looks at it like a sport and wants to be on the winning side. He is above all else, a stank HO.

How could any true liberal put up with that abuse for money? I've never thought Matthews or Van Susteren were closet liberals. They are "moderate" at best. MSRNC, in its deluded state, tries to sell Matthews as their liberal - but you can tell if you watch Matthews that he doesn't try to hide his right wing views. And I heard that if Brokaw gets into politics, he'd run as a Democrat.

Hell, two of them work for the official state media even! And Tweety wishes he did.

12. I really expected Colmes to win this one handily. |
|
He's so transparent it's pathetic. He seldom stands up for a liberal cause at all, and when he does, I makes sure to be as incomplete and unconvincing as possible, while ALWAYS acknowledging the validity of the conservative viewpoint. I dislike him more than Hannity because he is a phony.

16. I don't know if he declares any political affiliation, but Sam Donaldson. |
|
His show "Live in America" on the radio really annoys me. He keeps it mostly middle of the road, but continually softballs the conservative callers, and has way too many good things to say about the pResident. Of course, Houston's KTRH decided it wasn't conservative enough for them, so they reworked the schedule, booted him to the weekend, and added Hannity instead.... blech!

22. You simply can't compare Hitchens to some network talking head... |
|
...the man writes like a fucking dream and has more smarts than Jennings, Brokaw and Rather put together. Disagree with him? Fine. Want to kick his smug, Limey ass occasionally? Okay. I know I do. But I respect his brain, and I can't say that about too many others I see on the small screen these days.

28. Chris "Tweety" Matthews is neither right nor left |
|
He watches and discusses politics like sportscasters do - for him its all a game. Admittedly, this was a refreshing take on it, but politics is more than just sport as real lives are affected. No one got killed when the Pats cheated the Raiders out of the SuperBowl a few years ago. But plenty have died since Bush* cheated Gore out of E2K,,,
