Only two kinds of DUers: which are you?

Long ago, some freeper or freeperish person suggested that all DUers are really just WillPitt posting over and over again through sockpuppet IDs. (We'll leave aside the illogic of our most successful writer wasting his time like this; our FR cousins aren't noted for their logic.) Many other times, freepers have claimed that all of us are really them posing as DUers, and boy will we be surprised when they all drop the masks on Election Day. (Again with the logic: we'll all be surprised that we're all really freepers. Freedom Is Slavery, etc. etc.)

Ok, I'm blithering. Long story short: which are you?

Are you kidding? Do they really think these things? Well, I guess it might be to our advantage if they do. I always tell 'em to go ahead and believe that there aren't any Democrats -- and go and believe that liberal/progressive media won't succeed. And please, Freepers, hold your breath until it fails....

4. Skinner believes that the "we're all freepers" thing is just an attempt

to divide us (like that's ever been a problem with Democrats :)). The Pitt thing was probably long ago when there were many fewer of us. Regardless, the short answer is that people have really said these things; whether they were sincerely stupid enough to believe them or had an equally foolish agenda is yours to judge. Fundamentally, they aren't talking to us. They're trying a) to reassure themselves that we're a minor threat; b) to convince neutral readers that we aren't worth bothering with; and as ever c) to marginalize us. However, I'm not sure how making transparently idiotic assertions is going to achieve any of these goals, but then I can count to 20 without taking my shoes off...
