Wow, this is an amazing soundtrack. I'm now on that song where Merry or Pippin is singing when that nutty king was sending the people off to war. Parellels with our times?

Anyways, I love the choral parts and hymns and stuff. Can anyone recommend some soundtracks and classical music pieces with these elements? Thanks.

1. have you got the first two movies soundtracks? The Two Towers
is awsome, when they ride down the hill toward Helms Deep. I nearly dissolved and slid off my chair.

2. Yeah
I have all three. All are amazing soundtracks. Among my favorites, and I had never heard Howard Shore's work before the Fellowship.

I can't wait for the boxed set with all three extended editions. What a fine Christmas gift that would make, along with a Kerry presidency!

3. Arvo Pert
Austrian I think. Modern choral composer. Not quite as triumphant as what you are listening to but fantatic nonetheless.

5. I absolutely love those soundtracks
The music can be inspiring, haunting, fearful, beautiful....
Which of the three movies was your fave?

6. Does it suck less than the movie, and does it end more quickly?
I know that's two questions, but frankly I'm so pissed at Peter Jackson for wasting over three hours of my life with one long, badly directed, soulless cliche-ridden tv quality melodrama that I can't think rationally anymore!!! GRRRR!!!

Great cast, though.

Sorry. I'm alright now.
